CNN Indonesia -- Pihak Recording Academy telah mengumumkan daftar penuh nominasi Grammy Awards ke-61 yang rencananya akan diselenggarakan pada 10 Februari 2019 mendatang Tahun ini, sejumlah lagu yang dibuat menjadi latar film tampak mendapatkan perhatian khusus. Kendrick Lamar melalui album Black Panther: The Album mendapatkan delapan nominasi.

Selain itu, Lady Gaga juga mendapatkan lima nominasi, empat di antaranya berkat album A Star Is Born yang ia buat untuk melengkapi film bertajuk serupa, serta satu nominasi dari album terakhirnya, Joanne Di sisi lain, Drake menjadi musisi kedua yang mendapatkan nominasi paling banyak dengan tujuh nominasi, Cardi B dengan lima nominasi termasuk Album of the Year dan Record of the Year.

Setelah tak masuk perayaan pada 2017, tahun ini pun Taylor Swift tampaknya harus puas gagal menancapkan taring di panggung Grammy.

Album teranyar Swift yang dirilis pada 2017, Reputation, hanya mendapatkan satu nominasi di kategori Best Pop Vocal Album, bersaing dengan sahabatnya sendiri Camila Cabello melalui 'Camila' dan 'Sweetener' milik Ariana Grande.
